Husn Khaybar (The Fortress of Khaybar)

يا علي، يا علي، يا علي

O Ali, O Ali, O Ali

قالها المختار واسمع ما يلي

The Chosen One (Prophet Muhammad) said it, and hear what follows

حصن خيبر ما لها إلا علي

The fortress of Khaybar has no one but Ali

نحن من نملي الأرض لا ننملي

We are the ones who dictate to the earth, we are not dictated to

وعلي لا يقارن في بشر

And Ali cannot be compared to any human being

شال خيبر من عرجها

He lifted Khaybar from its very hinges

وشردت الفرسان والخيالة

And the knights and cavalry fled

علي چان لوحده عسكر

Ali, by himself, was an army

ماكو بالإسلام مثل أفعاله

There is none in Islam with acts like his

هذا حيدر

This is Haydar,

والصحابة شارد يضم شارد

While among the companions, one fleeing man clings to another

هذا حيدر

This is Haydar,

وما يلوگ إلا عليه فقاره

And Dhu al-Fiqar suits none but Ali

يا علي، يا علي، يا علي

O Ali, O Ali, O Ali

كل من والى علي حتما سليم

Whoever takes Ali as a guardian is surely sound

إلا من والى الصحابة بالسقيم

Except whoever takes the “companions” as guardians, he is diseased

يا ترى من هو في المحشر قسيم؟

I wonder, who is the Divider on the Day of Gathering?

يا ترى من هو مثواه سقر؟

I wonder, whose dwelling is in Hellfire?

لا عقيدة بلا براءة

There is no belief without dissociation

والتستر عالسقيفة اشفاده؟

And what good is concealing what happened at Saqifa?

احنه وادم نعبد الله

We are people who worship God

والله طهرنه بعلي وأولاده

And God purified us through Ali and his children

والخلافة

And the Caliphate…

علي الأول والبقية أذيالها

Ali is the first, and the rest are tails (traitors)

والخلافة

علي بس هو النبي شال إيده

Ali alone is the one whose hand the Prophet raised

يا علي، يا علي، يا علي

O Ali, O Ali, O Ali

ديننا كالحبل والحبل متين

Our religion is like a rope, and the rope is firm

للبراءة من الصحابة أصبح يقين

Through disassociation from the “companions”, it became certainty

أسقط المحسن قد كان جنين

Muhsin was made to fall while still a fetus

وعلي قلبه منه اعتصر

And Ali's heart was wrung by it

لا تناقشني اعله ديني

Do not try convincing me against my religion

شلون تقنع عقلي هاي السالفة؟

How could my mind be persuaded otherwise about this affair?

لا تگلي طائفية

Do not tell me "this is Sectarianism"

وهجمت اعله الزهرة كل الطايفة

When the whole Sect attacked al-Zahra

شلون فاطم

How could this happen to Fatima?

وانچوت حتى السمه من نارها

And even the sky was scorched by its fire

شلون فاطم

How could this happen to Fatima?

وفطرت حتى العرش بونينها

And even the Throne was split by her lament

يا علي، يا علي، يا علي

O Ali, O Ali, O Ali
