يا أبا الفضل لحگلي

O Abu al-Fadl, reach me

يل انصبتلي أخيامي

O you for whom my tents were pitched

وگتلي الضعن بي حامي

And who told me, "The caravan has a protector in me"

حامي الضعينة وينه؟

Where is the protector of the caravan?

حرگو خيمنا اعلينه

يا شبل أبوي الصيهود

O cub of my father, the strider of the wilderness

يا حزامي يوم العازة

O my belt of support on the day of hardship

گلبي احترگ يا أبو الزود

My heart has burned, O father of valour

گلبي يحن لعزازه

My heart yearns for the one dear to it

عوف العلم، عوف الجود

Leave the flag, leave your generosity

عوف السهم والعامود

Leave the arrow and the iron spear

صوب الخيم ريت اتعود

If only you would return towards the tents

ويايه دهري اتوازه

And my fate would ease alongside me

نار الخيم مستعرة

The fire of the tents is blazing

كلها تريد النظرة

All of them long for one glance

صدني الغريب بعينه

The Stranger held me back with his eyes

لابد تجي واتحلها

Everyone dies upon his day

آنه أدري ما ترضاها
